Learning Targets:

  • I can finish the script with my CFG group.
  • I can use some of the Dialog tips I used from last week’s tutorial.

Steps:

  1. Turn in your Thematic Fantastic
  2.  complete a performance review for each member of your group – Not everyone has done this.
  3. Get together in your groups and write a screenplay for the next project:
    1. Read and Respond to the Dialog Suggestions Post.
    2. Write the script for your  Dialog with Plot Twist. with your group.

Possible Themes for Dialog with Plot Twist

Feeling stuck about what to do your Dialog with Plot Twist project?

Here are a few themes you could explore for your two people in a room scene.

  • Student shares some surprise information about their home life. The teacher wants to help, but the person is to broken to accept the help. Until the end.
  • One student copies everything about one other student. Dresses the same, speaks in the same manner, same haircut, etc. Finally the student who is being copied gets fed up and the two meet in a room.
  • One person has been pretending to be someone else on line when the two people meet up in a room, one has to confront the other.
  • One person who is bullied often, surprises a bully with a secret power the bully never realized the other person had.
  • One person realizes suddenly that they have a twin. Strong can show you how to make a clone of another person so that the same two people can be on the screen at the same time.

After reviewing these with your group, which one do you think you will go for. Keep in mind I’d like you to come up with most of the story, these story prompts are designed only to get you started, not do the project for you.
