Next Video:

2 People in a room, talking it out. Working out a problem. Have rising conflict, have tension, have characters change somehow.

Here’s the kicker, there needs to be a plot twist at the end. Something we don’t see coming. Someone who was someone is not someone anymore. People lie, people betray. Have a twist at the end.

Here’s how to do it.

You will work with your groups, but and here’s the other kicker. EACH PERSON IN YOUR GROUP WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT PLOT TWIST. THAT’S RIGHT, THREE-FOUR VIDEOS, EACH WITH DIFFERENT ENDINGS.

Videos will be between 2 and 3 minutes long.

What you’ll need:

  • Fade in/Fade Out
  • Close ups, cut aways, triangular coverage. Remember the Harry Potter Film sketch?
  • Credit Roll.
  • Music at the beginning and end.
  • A plot twist at the end.

Due date is December 1st.

Performance Review

As a part of this Thematic Fantastic Project, you will be graded on how well you performed at your various job duties as a group member.

The following will be considered:

  1. Overall participation in the project. How involved were you in all stages of the project, including script writing, shooting and editing? Were you here on most days, present to shoot? Excused absences won’t count against you, but unexcused will.
  2. How professional were you doing shooting? How well did you take criticism, how well did you give and receive feedback? Were there any conflicts that arose from the group as a result of your actions?
  3. What steps did your team members have to do because of your actions? Did Mr. Strong have to get involved? What strategies did you use to keep the group  working towards finishing the project on time.

Look for a Google Form next week.
