Audio aside, the interview shots are the ones featuring people talking, where the B-roll are the shots of people waking in halls, the auditorium, etc. When these are combined, you hear the words being spoken and you see exactly what you want to/should see. I think we should have the interview for the A-roll and shots of them doing something that especially relates to them, like if it’s a teacher, well, teaching.

A-roll and b-roll. B-roll is when they are showing parts of the video, like a clip of a person telling their story, or a clip of the girl with her brother. A -roll is when they are interviewing one of the people. When both parts are put together you get a perspective from both sides. For our documentary I think it would be cool to do like what they did in the video and switch back and forth between A and B- roll frequently, keeping it’s viewers instead of boring them with like 20 minutes of interviews ect.

The two types of footage in this video are the A-roll footage and the B-roll footage. The A-roll footage is the interviews with the people in the video and the B-roll is the footage of the poetry being said, people hugging and huddling together, people going about their daily lives etc. When these two parts are brought together it makes it so much more interesting than just watching an interview for an hour or two, or watching unrelated footage that does not tell a story or give any information. Both the A-roll and the B-roll work together to make the subject of the documentary interesting and tell a story or give information to the audience. An idea I have for the documentary is about the life of a student or life of a teacher, both inside and outside of school.
There is a-roll and b-roll in the trailer. The b-roll is made up of the clips of the kids watching the louder than a bomb and the interview is made up of the were they are interviewing and talking with the poets. When these are brought together you get a great video that is complete. I get the idea to put my interview in somewhere important to the subject and video.

The b roll shows them being up on stage or writing poetry in their note book. When these two types of shots are brought together it adds another aspect to the video which makes it more complete and makes you want to continue watching. If it was only an interview and no footage of what the interview is about then it would be a boring video. Have b roll playing while the interviewers voice is talking in the background so you can actually see what the person is talking about.

The b-roll is the people cheering and being excited and the interview is of the people them selves doing there homework or talking together.When the two are put together you get a video of the person and them talking or them rhyming in front of a audience.The ideas that i get are same but have some one talking and a video of them doing something.

The B roll is definitely after they interview the people they show footage of them reading their poems aloud and or showing where they come from. They had very little A roll footage but they showed like one of the kids sitting down with his parents and talking about his poems then the next scene is him doing it (B roll). A roll is the static interview no actual actions and the B roll is the action they’re talking about, in action.

The two different footage being show is the interview and what that person is talking about in the interview while also cutting back to the interview. the b roll shows what the a roll is talking about and the interview is made up of people talking about their past experiences and when they’re brought together they make a video or in this case a movie that can manage to keep the viewers attention and interest. Ideas I get for my documentary are possibly interviewing one group member, and what they talk about or as close to it as we can get but also cutting back to the member to show their emotion and how they feel about what they’re talking about
Interviews with the speakers is one type and speakers at the show is another.The interview is the b roll,this is used so the audience has a deeper understanding of the picture and the cast.THIS ALSO MAKES THINGS more enjoyable to watch.
The two different types of footage i saw were the B-roll and the interview in this video. The connection I saw between the two were that it made people seem like there is hope, not only the music but the witness and what we saw that made us feel like it’s a touching clip. It was very inspiring and it inspires me physically and mentally, like in a way to film and to reach out. This video taught me how to use b-roll in a different way toher thana views and nature.

A Roll is interviewing someone on what u ask them in return, they answer your questions with a answer of they think of it or of some thing.
A B-Roll is when interviewing someone with questions and other things that the question may holed, cut in clips of something or someone and of the subject, like if you were talking about a video game to someone you where interviewing, add some game play of the game in the front but still leave audio of the person talking about the video game.
The two different types of footage contained in that clip are A-Roll and B-Roll. The A-Roll was the interview footage. The footage that has the kids looking at the camera answering questions is the A-Roll. The B-Roll would be the reviews that the film got during the first portion of the clip, the shots that were taken out of a car window, and the various clips of the actual poetry event that the kids were attending. When the two parts are brought together, it shows us the kids’ feelings about the poetry slam before and during the event. This gives me the idea that my group should film our documentary in the format of a trailer, proposing a film with a silly title, possibly.
