Give me One idea that pops into your head that would make a good project.
After each person gives their idea, people will “sign on” to that group according to how exciting their
idea is.
Make sure the idea is a complete story.
Example: Two male students figure out they are brothers, separated at birth, they both suspect it, but it takes them being put in the same detention space for a Saturday afternoon to figure that out. In the end they move on as one, ready to face the truth and their parents.

After viewing the clip above, answer the following questions using complete sentences. What parts of the clip are the interview, and which parts of the clip are b-roll or archival footage? What happens to the viewer when these two elements are combined? Much of the B-Roll for this film had to be archival or older materials, because there is only one member left alive. How do you think this changed the making of this documentary from the one we saw the other day? |

Get together in your CFGs and answer these questions in a word document. Turn this in before the end of the period today.
Title of Documentary:
Summary: What is the 30 second elevator conversation about this documentary? What exactly is this documentary about. Example: We will be interviewing Rodney, a refugee from Somalia. Rodney will be interviewed about the steps of how he became an american citizen.
B-Roll: What will the b-roll consist of? Example: Rodney’s path to citizenship will include close ups of his passport, his green card. Documents Rodney had to collect before becoming an american citizen. Close ups of the Somali Flag, and shots of Rodney cooking a dinner with his family.
Include the names of the people in your group. And the resources you will need.
Example: Three days of videoing Rodney in the studio. Two days of shooting b-roll.
